Starting to feel like home in here; unfortunately college is going to leave me with even less time to actually develop this page for a while, but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. Hoping to develop a gallery page as soon as I have the time.

This is an experiment. Having grown up in a time where the personality of the internet was starting to become...sterile, I can't help but tie those more audacious and wild shapes of the internet with my very early childhood, full of bright colors, bitcrushed sounds, and the tingly static energy coming off the family computer's CRT display. Even on the more restrained websites of the time, there was an energy to it all; a novelty and a wonder. An excitement.

Now I find myself amongst clean, featureless, corporate design that even to one who appreciates minimalism can admit, all feels a bit stale now that everyone's doing it. The internet, despite having more potential than ever before to create highly personalized and dynamic online spaces, has been shaven down to efficient but ultimately uninspired pages, hiding their lackluster stylization behind a pretense of 'form over function.' Yet even when reduced to such minimalist styles, many of these spaces continue to be unintuitive and frustrating to navigate, burrying most important information in submenues or at the bottom of obnoxiously long pages. Furthermore, many modern sights, instead of infusing their pages with any sort of decorations that speak to the purpose or philosophy of such sites, most pages are littered with advertisements making the sites borderline impossible to navigate. The internet has become dependent on bombarding you with advertisements and collecting as much information about you as possible to target ads and try to convince you to buy shit you do not need. This is not sustainable. So, here we are, making weird little personal pages. Enjoy your wanderings!

Where do things go? How many bits? what's supposed to be here? So many questions, so little time when one's suffering through college and multiple jobs.
